Someday I really want to have this experience: Wandering around outside in a foreign country on a frigid, snowy day, noticing a warmly lit little bookshop, going inside, and just sitting there and reading books for hours. And maybe buying one that I just can’t make myself put back on the shelf. And it will look like this.

We need to travel so we can stop being professors or specialists of what we did NOT see, when we should have been students, and simply go and see it."

So normally I’m really hesitant to support these sorts of “inspirational” things because even though they sound pretty, they usually have serious flaws to my mind. But even though this one kind of has a flaw too (to me), it’s super inspiring to me. Especially because I really want to see these Russian palaces someday.
